Fast Forward Concrete Cutting partnered with PCL Construction to perform selective demolition and precision concrete cutting at the UCLA Engineering VI Building, focusing on the 5th floor and roof.

Concrete cutting, breaking and removal inside UCLA’s Center for the Health Services (CHS) took skill and careful planning to support state-mandated seismic retrofit.

Fast Forward broke and hauled 3500 square feet of concrete every day. In order to accomplish this feat, they modified a piece of equipment to form a custom ripper/slab grab attachment called “The Claw.”
